Tietzen honoured
Kelowna resident John Tietzen, owner of Wendy’s Inland Restaurants Ltd., will be honoured on Tuesday as this year’s recipient of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada’s Wayne C. Dunn Spirit of Service Award.
Tietzen will become the fourth person to receive this national award, which honours extraordinary personal service in making dreams come true for children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
December 6 will mark the fifth DreamLift to Disney that has been sponsored by Wendy’s DreamLift Days, as over 400 children have now had an opportunity to enjoy a day of independence, adventure and joy.
