Walmart to remain open around the clock until Christmas Eve

Christmas is going to come early for Walmart shoppers.

Walmart has announced that 200 of its stores across Canada, including the stores in Kelowna and West Kelowna, will be open 24 hours a day starting today until Christmas Eve.

"Every day is a shopping day in the days leading up to Christmas whether it's in our stores or online at walmart.ca," said Jim Thompson, Walmart Canada's chief operations officer.

"Our research shows that customers are waiting to complete their Christmas purchases so we expect our marathon shopping to be very well received this year."

In recent years, Walmart Canada has offered 24-hour shopping during the Christmas shopping period.
