Okanagan Spirits is looking to uncork another win.

The Vernon-born distillery is at the World Spirits Awards in Germany, which take place Wednesday, March 22.

Okanagan Spirits has earned eight category nods for the following products: single malt whiskey, taboo absinthe, aquavit (a Scandinavian gin), black currant liqueur, haskap liqueur, rhubarb liqueur, family reserve apple based vodka, and the old style gin.

“It really is the academy awards of the distilleries,” said Tyler Dyck, CEO of the family-operated company with locations in Vernon and Kelowna.

Okanagan Spirits is up against 300 of the world’s top distilleries for the coveted gold, silver and bronze medals.

Okanagan Spirits has previously earned Distillery of the Year in 2013 and 2015.
