Event to remember at Sunplex

A party for peace will be held in the Sunplex this Remembrance Day.

The event marks the launch of the B.C. chapter of the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism and the 200 year anniversary of the Okanagan Fur Brigade Trail.

“We’re sure hoping for a good community turnout,” said Silverado Socrates.

The Mission Dance Studio performers will lend their talents to the effort, and Socrates will debut a song she recently recorded with some Zambian children on a research trip to start the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism.

The songs Discover magic and Peace in the Valley will be performed, followed by a good old country dance.

The price for tickets is $9.50 for individuals.
