Coyotes spotted in Quail Ridge Linear Park

The City of Kelowna is warning those who use and live near the Quail Ridge Linear Park area of the presence of one or more aggressive coyotes.

Should residents or park users see a coyote, they should make themselves visible and make noise. People should also take care when walking their dog in the area, as dogs can increase aggressive coyote behaviour.

The city is posting warning signs in the park, while local conservation officers are monitoring the situation. Anyone who sees aggressive coyote behaviour is asked to call the B.C. Ministry of Environment RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277.
