Friends of the Library stage the annual fall book sale

The 24th annual Great Okanagan Book Sale returns to the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall on Sutherland Avenue in Kelowna this week.

The book sale takes place Thursday, 9:30 a.m.to 9 p.m.; Friday  9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Available will be a community hall full of  adult books for both fiction and non- fiction, hard and soft covers, will be for sale for the bargain basement price of $1.

There will also be CDs, DVDs, talking books, premium books ($2, $5, $10 each, high quality content in great condition) and  puzzles and games.

Last year, the book sale raised more than $23,700, and combined with other events put on by the Friends of the Library group helped raise   $31,000 overall, money that is earmarked for special library service projects. children’s & teens area.
