Fat Cat gearing up for 23rd annual festival
The Interior Savings Fat Cat Children's Festival is gearing up for the 23rd edition of the Festival and is calling community organizations and businesses to take part by joining the Parade or hosting an interactive Activity Station onsite at the Festival.
As always, this year's Interior Savings Fat Cat Children's Festival, offers fantastic performances, creativity and interactive fun for the whole family.
Taking place June 7 and 8, this year's theme" Curious Fat Cat Wants to Know: What Kind of Cat are YOU?!?!" celebrates diversity and individualism.
All activity stations and parade entries can explore this theme and let their creativity shine.
"The Interior Savings Fat Cat Children's Festival is all about community building and inclusion and this is why we look for organizations and businesses to partner with us to put the Festival on," says Dorothee Birker, artistic director for the Festival. "Every year we host over 50 interactive stations where kids come to learn, experience and dive into an activity. For the host organization, it's a fantastic way to reach their target market and showcase what they do."
"And of course everyone loves a parade," continues Birker. "And whether it is as a walking parade entry, a float or some other creative outlet, being in the parade is even more fun."
The deadlines for participating are coming up quickly - May 12th for Activity Stations and May 31st for the Parade.
The Community is also reminded to mark their calendars and get ready to take in all the creativity and fun the Festival has to offer. The Festival takes place at Waterfront Park includes the School Day Friday, June 7th and the Parade and Festival Celebration on Saturday February 8th. Everyone is invited to fully participate and take in both days of the Festival."
