Boating courses begin

The Kelowna Power and Sail Squadron is offering a series of courses beginning next week at the Kelowna Yacht Club for anyone interested in power boats, sailing or kayaking.

Boating Essentials begins Mon., Sept. 9 at 7 p.m., and is the squadron’s most popular course, says Commander Mark Burley.

It leaves off where the Pleasure Craft Operator Card course stops.

A course in Electronic Navigation begins Tuesday evening while Extended Cruising begins Thurs., Sept. 19 and Boat and Engine Maintenance begins Wed., Oct. 2.

For more details on the courses or to register, go to cpskelowna.ca or you can show up Monday night and register then.
