Do a spring cleaning for diabetes

Spring is fast approaching and for some that means spring cleaning.

This year when you are making room in your closets or cleaning out that garage think of the Canadian Diabetes Association Clothesline® and Kelowna Community Food Bank.

Help us help the environment with free recycling of electronics, TVs, computers, scrap metals through Planet Earth Recycling with your donation of reusable clothing or food products on Saturday, May 17. Bring your clothing, linens and shoe donations, small housewares recycling, food donations, scrap metal and electronic items to our Spring Fling® Fill A Truck event.

Join us in the parking lot at:1. Save on Foods, Orchard Plaza from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.—Food and clothes only, or

2. Capital News Centre, 4105 Gordon Drive from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.—Electronics, metals, food and clothes at this location. This spring join us in supporting the fight against diabetes through our Spring Cleaning Drive.

Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions and affects more people each day.  With our clothing drive we teach our children and each other to start leading healthy lives.

It is estimated that in 2014, nine million Canadians will be living with or at risk of diabetes. Your reusable clothing donations will help the Canadian Diabetes Association continue the fight against diabetes.

This Clothesline® clothing drive will also help divert your unwanted items from our landfills. Let’s join the fight!
