With colder overnight weather setting in, the City of West Kelowna has begun winterizing irrigation lines and shutting down most of its outdoor public washrooms.

By Oct. 31 all outdoor municipal washrooms will have been closed, with the exception of the heated Willow Beach facilities. The Willow Beach washrooms will remain open to accommodate the numerous, year-round users of the Gellatly Bay lakefront trail.

Parks washrooms in West Kelowna typically reopen in early to mid-April.
