Lakeshore Road lane restrictions imposed

Traffic will be impacted on Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road improvement project.

Lakeshore Road between Dehart Road and Bellevue Creek Bridge will be single-lane alternating traffic on Thursday, July 23, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., for culvert installation and tree removal.

Motorists can expect delays and are urged to plan ahead for extra commuting time. Pedestrian access will be available but cyclists are encouraged to use other routes due to uneven surfaces. Transit routes serving this area may experience delays due to construction.  Visit bctransit.com/regions/kel or call the hotline at 250-860-8121 for schedules and plan travel accordingly.

Improvements to this section of Lakeshore Road will include sidewalks, curb and gutters, a multi-use pathway, on-road bike lanes and pedestrian and roadway lighting improvements. New deciduous trees will be planted in the boulevards.
