Residents of Kelowna can read seven days a week in the Mission starting at the end of July.

Beginning Sunday July 30, the Mission Library will be open Sunday from 11 a.m. ro 3 p.m. and on Wednesdays until 8.

“The demand from the community for more time and resources is apparent. On average 26,000 items are checked out monthly, an increase of approximately 6 per cent over 2016.

“We are also seeing about 12,000 people per month coming to the branch for programs, events and resources,” said a Okanagan Regional Library release.

In June the Mission Library signed up 585 new members.
