Science students win bronze medals

KSS student among the medal winners from Central Okanagan at the Canada-Wide Science Fair.

Three of the six students from the Central Okanagan region competing in the Canada-Wide Science Fair that took place this past week at Prince Edward Island won medals.

Lucas Zeer-Wankly, a Grade 12 student at Kelowna Secondary, was awarded a bronze medal for his project on how the brain creates emotional response. Breanna Gowe and Megs Cumming, Grade 9 students from Penticton, were also awarded a bronze medal for their project, called  A Lota Colour on Io.

The science fair featured a week of science activities for the participating students to take part in and compete for various scholarships and prizes.
