Elvis and Friends put on a show this Saturday

Two of the Okanagan’s best bands, Appaloosa and the Uptown Horns, come together for Elvis and Friends starring Adam Fitzpatrick as Elvis, Joe Kelso as Roy Orbison and Andrea Anderson as Patsy Cline, Saturday at Creekside Theatre.

The Uptown Hornz are comprised of the B.C Interior's finest Brass & Woodwind players, who are all equally versed in all styles of Music from Jazz to R&B , Funk and Classical. After many incarnations, Appaloosa has evolved to its current state. Rocking today with some of the biggest names in show business: Brad Paisley, Dwight Yoakum, Pam Tillis, the Late and Great Johnny Cash, Marty Stuart and many more.

Adam Fitzpatrick

Adam has recently qualified for the Ultimate Elvis competition in Memphis, TN this August by winning the Pala Casino's Rockin' Elvis Fest in Pala, Ca. in March of this year. He will go up against the top 20-25 Elvis tribute artists in the world.

Andrea Anderson

Andrea’s vocal abilities have been described as pure and powerful with an engaging sound.

.."Music is my way of personal expression. It is how I connect with people and the world around me...Singing to me, is my Destiny fulfilled."

Andrea had the honor to perform at the 1998 BC Summer Games and then moved to Nashville to peruse her dream! Andrea sang full time with various bands singing blues, pop, country and Contemporary Christian music and then moved to Phoenix Arizona and pursued a Business Degree. In 2002 Andrea moved back to Canada and in 2004 was the winner of "Okanagan Idol." She performed at The Merritt Mountain Music festival in July 2005 and has since performed across the Okanagan.

Joe Kelso

A Roy Orbison Tribute, Joe Kelso Summerland BC resident long time Roy Orbison fan. Joe enjoys music of all sorts from Elvis, Beatles, Patsy Cline Rolling Stones and of course Roy. Joe has been performing in tribute shows for many years, and hopes to bring the Roy fans down memory lane with the great Roy hits such as Pretty Women, Only the Lonely and much more.

Adam Fitzpatrick

Adam has been doing his Elvis tribute for about 3 ½ years and enjoys it immensely. He started doing this when a friend dared him to go into the Penticton Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival. He had never sung before, and certainly never in public, but he took up the challenge, entered and won the Amateur division of the Festival competing against 15 other hopeful contestants. His popularity has skyrocketed ever since.

His first show after his win in Penticton was to open the PNE’s annual Elvis Tribute show before an estimated audience of 12,000 Elvis fans.

For the last 4 years Adam has been performing in many different towns and cities throughout BC and Alberta with his own show Elvis Evolution. He also tours with the Louisiana Hayride as young Elvis. Last July Adam placed 5th in the world’s largest Elvis Festival held in Collingwood, Ont.

He has recently returned from Memphis where he was invited to perform at the popular Clarion Hotel. He has been invited to Memphis again in August to perform as young Elvis. Adam has recently recorded his very first CD.
The show at Creekside Theatre in Lake Country is this Saturday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m.
