Okanagan Zone Drama Festival in Vernon next month

The 2014 Okanagan Zone Drama Festival, which celebrates and showcases community theatre from the Okanagan Valley is hosted by Vernon next month.

This year you will have the opportunity to see plays from Summerland Players, Theatre Kelowna Society, Fred Skeleton Theatre Company (Kelowna), Powerhouse Theatre (Vernon), Shuswap Theatre (Salmon Arm) and Kamloops Players.

The 2014 Theatre BC Okanagan Zone Drama Festival is scheduled to take place at the Powerhouse Theatre Vernon from May 11 to 16. Curtain Time 7.30 p.m. sharp. Rush seating, meaning late comers will be seated at the intermission.

During Festival Week the box office at Powerhouse Theatre, 2901-35th Ave. in Vernon (250-542-6194) will be open from 6.30 to 7.15 p.m. nightly for individual ticket purchases. Cash only. Sorry, No visa or debit available, and no refunds.

Individual Ticket Costs are :

Non Theatre BC members : $22

TBC member (with membership card): $20

Students : $5 (with student ID).

The adjudicator for this year's festival entries is Michael Armstrong.
