Trailer Review: Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron set the apocalypse on fire in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

By now, if you're kind of person who'd be interested in seeing it, chances are you've seen it.
Because Mad Max is back. And, baby... is he ever.
The trailer for Fury Road was released at Comic Con, which is that annual nerd bash in San Diego that has completely legitimized North America's nerd community to the point that I feel genuinely both guilty and envious for even using that word as if it's a knock, or compliment, or neither. It's just a description.
But in the seats of a theatre where Mad Max has returned after 30 years in the Outback, we're all nerds. We're all gushing geeks. And it looks perfect.
Not perfect in the way The English Patient was perfect for some people, like Peterman. But perfect in the way that it looks to be, from the outset, exactly what anyone who loves Mad Max would want it – or need it – to be. Because Tom Hardy is a perfect pick. And Charlize Theron is a perfect pick. And that group of angels who keep reappearing in the trailer – the ones you've already IMDB'd are named Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Courtney Eaton – are as intriguing as the thugs and leather-robed villains driving the chariots of fire.
Apparently, the whole movie is basically one 105-minute car chase.
And I'm already out of breath.
