Alfie Zappacosta makes Kelowna stop

Former Juno Award winning performer to play Feb. 3 at Kelowna Forum

Veteran Canadian singer-songwriter Alfie Zappacosta will play in Kelowna Feb. 4.

Alfie Zappacosta, who enjoyed commercial success in Canada in the 1980s and 90s with his band Zappacosta, is coming to Kelowna next month.

The Canadian-born singer and musician will perform Friday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. at the Kelowna Forum, 1317 Ethel St.

Over his 40-year career, Zappacosta has written and recorded a number of hits, including Passion, Nothing Can Stand In Your Way (co-written with David Foster) and Overload from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.

Letter Back reached No. 24 on the Canadian charts in 1990.

After releasing his self-titled album in 1984, Zappacosta won a Juno Award for the Most Promising Male Vocalist.
