Pesticide workshops

More than 60 residents have attended Kelowna’s Pesticide Free workshops to learn about natural and less-toxic yard care alternatives.

Kelowna residents, who are interested in attending, are urged to register at one of the remaining four workshops, online at kelowna.ca/environment.

Dates and times include: May 4 (6-8 p.m.), May 21 (1-3 p.m.), June 1 (6-8 p.m.), June 18 (1-3 p.m.).

The city workshops look at solving pest problems with natural products and provide biological

alternatives to chemicals, including beneficial bugs, such as nematodes. Questions are welcomed throughout the session.
