Friends join to support Kelowna writer
One of Kelowna's finest freelance writers is facing a tough time ahead.
Dona Sturmanis has recently been diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing a series of medical procedures over the coming months.
A group of friends, students and supporters of this author and editor are gathering to celebrate her creative spirit and her gift for nurturing ideas, stories and other writers.
As a freelance writer and editor, her ability to earn income during this time will be limited. You can help Dona during this difficult period by joining in to celebrate and donate, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m Oct. 21 at Summerhill Winery's Main Hall and Green Space.
