Naturalists welcome biologist

A former park naturalist and scientist for Parks Canada will be the guest speaker at the next Central Okanagan Naturalists Club meeting.

It will take place April 8, 7 p.m., at the Evangel Church  on Gordon Drive in Kelowna. The guest speaker John Woods calls his presentation, The Sounds of Spring.

Through a combination of photographs and sound recordings, the biologist will share his enthusiasm for natural sounds during his favourite time of the year.

Featuring birds, Woods will discuss the challenges of learning to identify natural sounds and the exciting advances in both making sound recordings and the computer-assisted visualization of sound.
