West Kelowna woman missing

A 45-year-old West Kelowna woman, believed to be in a depressed state of mind, is being sought by her family, friends and police.

Barbara Waighorn was last seen by her father around 2 a.m. Tuesday, at their home on Churchill Road in West Kelowna. Her father heard her leave shortly thereafter and became concerned as it was unusual behavior. Police were notified at 2:30 a.m, and have been searching for her since then.

Waighorn is described as caucasian, 5’4”, 170 lbs with long brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880. Waighorn is also an insulin dependent diabetic and it is feared that she may not have insulin with her.
