Road closures for Dragoons festivities
On Saturday, Water Street will be closed between Queensway and Doyle Avenues from noon to 2:30 p.m. to accommodate the B.C. Dragoons Centennial of the Regiment ceremony and roll past.
A regimental roll past will take place from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m. beginning and ending at Memorial Arena. The following lane restrictions will be in place:
• southbound lane on Ellis Street from Memorial Arena parking lot to Bernard Avenue
• westbound lane on Water Street from Queensway Avenue (two-way traffic maintained)
• northbound and southbound on Water Street from Bernard to Doyle Avenues (full closure)
• eastbound lane on Doyle Avenue.
Traffic control personnel will be along the route directing motorists to allow for the roll past.
Minor delays are expected and motorists must follow the directions of traffic control personnel during the road closure.
Restricted street parking will be in place along the route.
Cars parked in restricted areas will be courtesy towed to the parking lot at the corner of Doyle Avenue and Ellis Street.
