Spring training

Kelowna firefighters took advantage of the spring run-off along the greenway near Mission Creek Regional Park on Tuesday morning to practise water rescue techniques. One man in the northern Okanagan drowned last weekend near Cherryville after jumping into a local creek, flush with spring runoff water, to rescue his dog. The dog survived but the owner did not.
