Car flips, lands at source of problem
Kelowna RCMP believe alcohol impairment could be what caused the driver of a grape coloured Volkswagen to lose control of his car, veer off the road and flip into a Kelowna vineyard.
Police were called to a rollover in the 4800 block of Lakeshore Road, Saturday at around 2:15 a.m., said Const. Steve Holmes.
At the location, they found a 20 year old Kelowna man, being treated by the paramedics for minor injuries.
Police said he showed signs of alcohol impairment, so they asked him to blow into the breathalyzer. He complied, and Holmes alleges he blew twice the legal limit.
The man now faces charges of driving while impaired and driving over .08.
