Accident leaves West Kelowna mill worker in critical condition
Worksafe B.C. is investigating an industrial accident at Gorman's Mill in West Kelowna that has sent a man to hospital in critical conditon.
According to RCMP, the 50-year-old West Kelowna man is listed in critical condition in Kelowna General Hospital after being injured on the job at the mill early Thursday morning.
Police were called to assist emergency crews at the mill at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday. The man had been working around a large piece of equipment when a piece of his clothing caught in part of the machine.
He was transported to the hospital before police arrived.
