School teacher’s memory honoured

The memory of Shannon Lake Elementary school teacher Elaine Wannop will be honoured with a bench.

The long-time Okanagan school teacher passed away mid-way through the school year leaving behind two children, three grandchildren, and a school full of students.

To pay tribute to her, the West Kelowna elementary school is installing a bench with a plaque created by a local artist. Students will be able to sit on the bench to read some of her favourite stories.
