Two men face drug charges
Two Kelowna males will face drug possession and trafficking charges after being arrested in Kelowna on Wednesday.
At about 1:45 p.m., police observed a vehicle leaving the residence of one of the males in the 800 block of Burne Avenue. The vehicle was flagged with an overdue inspection notice and so police decided to stop it to ensure compliance.
The vehicle raced down a residential street at what police called a high rate of speed before pulling over.
The vehicle was subsequently stopped at the corner of Francis and Richter.
A search of the vehicle located over 11 grams of powdered cocaine, nearly 33 grams of crack cocaine, a small number of ecstacy pills and some cash.
