Wednesday's grass fire suspicious

RCMP are investigating a suspicious grass fire, that occurred on Old Vernon Road on Wednesday.
Police were called to the field, in the 5900 block of Old Vernon Road, at around 11:20 p.m. on July 6, to find that local fire crews had already doused the flames.
Subsequent investigation revealed evidence indicating the intentional use of an accelerant to ignite the grass.
Police are asking for any information concerning this incident. If anyone recalls any suspicious activity in the area around 11 p.m. on July 6, please call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
