Knife fight leads to charges

A 47 year old West Kelowna man is facing charges after a Kelowna man was slashed in an altercation yesterday afternoon at around 2:40 p.m. on Old Ferry Wharf Rd in West Kelowna.

Police were called to Bridge Hill at just before 3 p.m. after the girlfriend of the 42 year old male victim had called 911 and was driving him to hospital.  The Ambulance took him the rest of the way and the man was treated for a knife laceration to his left arm.

Police learned the identity of the suspect and arrested him at his home several hours later. He will appear in court today to face a recommended charge of Aggravated Assault. The suspect is known to police for Drug related offences.
