Mobile home park tenant stabbed
West Kelowna RCMP have arrested a 54-year-old West Kelowna man in connection with a stabbing that took place around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
The stabbing took place at a mobile home, located in the 1800 block of Boucherie Road.
Police were called just after 5 p.m. when a witness saw the 42-year-old male victim stumbling in the street, calling for help.
Through investigation, police learned that the victim and suspect were roommates and that the victim was stabbed following a verbal altercation.
There was evidence of alcohol consumption, on the part of the suspect, when he was arrested.
A knife was also recovered at the scene.
The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment of a significant, though non life threatening, knife wound to his abdomen.
He was released from hospital after receiving treatment.
The suspect, who is known to police for a previous Criminal Code offence, will appear in court today to face a recommended charge of assault with a weapon.
