Westside Road reopened

Drivers were unable to utilize Westside Road for over an hour on Friday morning while emergency crews worked to extract a vehicle that went over the embankment.

A Ford F350 hauling a fifth wheel trailer went off the road about 12 km from Highway 97 on Westside Road.

Crews closed the road around 8 a.m. on Friday morning. The road was reopened just after 9 a.m., with delays while a tow truck worked to extract the vehicle.
