Kelowna thieves on a Honda Civic stealing spree

A string of car thefts targeting Honda Civics kept the Kelowna RCMP busy the past couple days and more are expected.

As many as eight Honda Civics have been stolen in the Kelowna area, and subsequently dumped at the scene of the next theft, between April 30  and May 1.

"All of the cars have been in the 1995-2000 model year," said Const. Kris Clark. "Police are cautioning owner's of older model Honda Civics to be diligent in securing your vehicle and to ensure that you do not leave anything of value in your car."

Police are still investigating the matter.
