Car set ablaze in Kelowna neighbourhood
Police are looking for a man seen lighting a car on fire on Killarney Road early this morning.
Kelowna Mounties received a report of an arson on the 400 block of Killarney Road, June 6 at 1:40 a.m.
"A man was witnessed trying to break into a Chevy Cavalier when he suddenly smashed the passenger's side window and poured fuel onto the seat," said Const. Kris Clark.
"The suspect lit the car ablaze and fled in a dark colored pickup truck. The Kelowna Fire Department was able to contain the blaze but the car was a total loss."
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, about six-feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark shirt and glasses.
The vehicle is described as a newer model Ford F150 extended cab, dark in color.
