Woman found in Okanagan Lake identified
The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman whose body was found floating in Okanagan Lake near Kelowna on June 19 as Melissa Joy Van Diemen, aged 34.
Van Diemen was originally from Grand Forks but most recently had been living in Kelowna.
Van Diemen was last seen swimming in Okanagan Lake behind City Park on June 13.
The Coroners and Kelowna RCMP are continuing to investigate Van
Diemen's death, acknowledging at this point, however, that it does not appear to be suspicious.
