Forestry crews fully contain fire in the hills above Oyama
As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, the B.C. Forest Service is reporting the wild fire is 100 per cent contained seven kilometres east of Oyama.
Five firefighters will remain on the fire overnight.

A fire burning in the hills above Oyama still isn't contained.
As of 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, 30 B.C. Forest Service personnel and two helicopters remain on site seven kilometres east of Oyama.
"Tankers were able to get retardant around the perimeter and dozers are creating a guard," said Michaela Swan, an information officer with the B.C. Forest Service.
The fire was first reported at about 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Forestry crews are trying to bring a wildfire in Lake Country under control.
As of 8:30 a.m., 25 firefighters, as well as three helicopters, are on their way to a 3.5-hectare blaze seven kilometres east of Oyama.
"It is burning quite aggressively," said Michaela Swan, an information officer with the B.C. Forest Service.
"It's burning in slash and that's contributing to the smoke people are seeing."
Air tankers are already dropping retardant on the area to prevent it from spreading.
The primary goal is to protect the forest resource.
"There is no immediate threat to structures in the area," said Swan.
