West Kelowna summer concert series drawing to a close

West Kelowna's Music in the Park is winding down with two free concerts taking place at Memorial Park from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 24 and 31.

The headline act on Aug. 24 will be singer/songwriter Shawn Hook, whose current hits Every Red Light and So Close have been featured on local radio stations.

Pop singer and acoustic guitarist David Blair will open for Hook and Jesse Mast will be the youth performer featured on stage.

The final headliner, the Jimmy Leguilloux Band, will take the stage Aug. 31 with opening act Ord Strauss Blues Revue warming up the audience.

So far hundreds have come out for the concert series, which has been held in Memorial Park every Friday throughout the summer.
