Local authors do mass book signing
Capital News writer Judie Steeves and 11 other local authors will descend en masse on Mosaic Books Sat., Sept. 8 to bring awareness to International Literacy Day and Project Literacy in Kelowna.
“This is a reminder to the Okanagan public of the wealth of talent we have right here in our valley,” explains organizer Marilyn Strong, author of Getting Paid to Pay Attention.
She is another of the authors attending the mass book signing event from 1 to 4 p.m. at the downtown Kelowna bookstore, where each author will also donate a copy of their book to Project Literacy.
Steeves is the author of Jude’s Kitchen, based on her weekly food column in the Capital News, and co-author of Okanagan Trips and Trails, which she co-wrote with Murphy Shewchuk. Both books are available at local bookstores.
