A Kelowna woman was taken to hospital in critical condition Thursday night after her son allegedly attacked her with a hammer.
Mounties received a report of a domestic disturbance on Mission Springs Drive, Sept. 13 shortly after 9 p.m.
"The report indicated that a woman had been struck with a hammer. Emergency crews rushed the woman to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries," said Const. Kris Clark.
"A 24 year old Kelowna male was arrested at the scene and is currently in police custody."
The woman has yet to be identified, but initial reports indicated she was attacked by her son.
The investigation is ongoing.
