Missing Lake Country man located

Updated: A missing Lake Country hunter has been located.
The search for Tracy De Montezuma, 52, who had been missing since Sept. 29, ended at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
His remains were located by Search and Rescue a short distance from where he had left his vehicle in the general vicinity of Wilma Lake.
A cause of death has not been released at this time.

A Lake Country man who went hunting in the Wilma Lake area on Saturday, Sept. 29 was still missing as of Thursday.
The man was reported to have gone hunting in the Wilma Lake area last Saturday. He did not return Sunday and has still not been located, prompting a bigger search effort.
“There were 40 search and rescue members out searching today (Thursday) and they will possibly be bringing in another SAR Team for tomorrow morning,” said Cpl. TaniaCarroll.
“The RCMP are continuing to assist with the helicopter as well as two police service dogs.”
Tracy DeMontezuma, 52, went hunting Saturday night in the hills east of Lake Country. He parked his truck in a clearing and it’s believed he walked up a road to a hunting spot of his in a logging cut-block.
Wilma Lake is a small body of water east of Oyama, just north of Dee Lake.
