Armed robbery attempt in the Mission
Kelowna RCMP are looking for a male suspect who attempted to rob the Shell gas bar and the adjoining McDonald's restaurant in the Mission early this morning.
Police say a white male wearing a balaclava walked into the Shell station at 6:30 a.m. and demanded cash from the store employee behind the till.
The man fled from the convenience store empty handed and went next door to the McDonald's and made the same cash demand, this time also brandishing a knife. Again, the suspect fled emptyhanded, possibly on a bicycle.
Police describe the suspect as about 5-foot-7, 140 lbs and was wearing a ski coat, dark hoodie and a ball cap along with the balaclava.
Anyone with information about these robbery attempts is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP.
