Students launch Movember Music Night to raise prostate cancer awareness

Okanagan College business students are hoping to draw a crowd with music to help raise awareness of prostate cancer.

The inaugural Movember Music Night will be held Thursday, Nov. 22, 5 to 9 p.m., on the Kelowna campus.

Hosted by the Okanagan Students’ Business Association, Movember Music Night will include talented local bands, free giveaways, a prostate cancer awareness booth and inspirational words from Bren Wilson, representing the Okanagan Prostate Resource Centre Society.

Local bands performing will include Wild Sun, Twin Towns and The Daisy Cutters.

The OBSA is an association dedicated to opening new avenues for both students and businesses located in the Okanagan.

It represents over 1,500 diploma and degree seeking students across the four regions of Okanagan College.
