Dog walker reports hearing shots in hills south of Kelowna.

Kelowna RCMP have located the source of shots fired on the South Slopes area of Kelowna.

An unconfirmed source said a dog walker reported hearing up to 80 shots just after noon today.

Numerous police in a variety of vehicles searched over a considerable area of rough terrain in the hillsides south of The Ponds and South Ridge Drive in the Okanagan Mission. Police reported hearing shots as they continued their hour-long search.

Three males were eventually found and questioned. In their pickup truck were three rifles and one handgun.
