A man the Crown alleges is responsible for a 2011 car surfing death has been ordered to stand trial.
The ruling came following a preliminary hearing Tuesday for Christopher Gerald Bezaire.
Bezaire is charged with criminal negligence causing the death of his friend Jody Rud, who was a day shy of his 25th birthday when he died June 11, 2011.
Police
have alleged that Bezaire was behind the wheel of a Pontiac Sunfire as it travelled along Bear Main Forest Service Road when Rud got on the roof to car surf.
Bezaire allegedly lost control and rolled the car down an embankment, killing Rud.
Evidence presented at Bezaire's preliminary hearing Tuesday is subject to a publication ban. His next court date is not yet known.
