A Kelowna man who admitted to robbing three local businesses has been ordered to spend more than 19 months behind bars.
Kevin Leroy Kucheran, 47, was sentenced to 587 days in jail at a sentencing hearing on Tuesday. He also
faces three years of probation.
He admitted last month to robbing the Mission Park Mall Dollar Store, the Wardrobe Boutique and a Subway on Pandosy Street between June 2 and June 12, 2012.
On Tuesday, court records indicate he received jail time for those robberies and a June 11 holdup at another Pandosy Street restaurant.
A fifth robbery charge from June 30, 2012 was stayed.
Kucheran was arrested and charged with the robberies in September, 2012.
In addition to jail and probation, Kucheran also faces a mandatory 10-year firearms prohibition.
