Man shot in hand with handgun under mysterious circumstances
On March 3 at 4:51 p.m., Kelowna RCMP responded to a 911 call of several people trying to break into the garage of a house in the 200 block of Pearson Road, in Kelowna.
After the initial investigation a 23-year-old man residing at the house was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot injury to his hand.
The occupants of the residence themselves are the focus of the investigation and the legitimacy of the home invasion is being assessed.
The man was taken into custody, however he was later released pending further investigation.
This was not a random act of violence and police do not believe it to be gang related.
The firearm, a pistol, was seized from the house.
