Open house focuses on Westbank revitalization

The District of West Kelowna is hosting an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday to discuss Westbank Centre revitalization plans.

Two key initiatives—Brown Road streetscape improvements and Memorial Park upgrades—will be the focus of the session. Visitors will have an opportunity to view plans and ask questions about both improvements.

West Kelowna council has an $800,000 budget this year to improve the Brown Road streetscape from Main Street to Bering Road, in keeping with the Westbank Centre Revitalization Plan.

The district also wants to improve Memorial Park and enhance the Music in the Park summer concert series.

The public will also have the opportunity to view designs for transit exchanges at Westbank Centre and Boucherie Centre that will become part of the BC RapidBus expansion.
