A woman's body was recovered from Okanagan Lake earlier this week and police are looking to locate her long board.

On Monday, the Kelowna RCMP were called to Atwood Place, between Strathcona Park and the Maude Roxby Wetland in the South Pandosy area, where a passerby had seen a woman's body.

Police and the BC Coroner's Service have not released how the woman died, though the investigation has tentatively ruled out foul play. The long board is potentially evidence, however, and police would like to find it as part of their investigation.

"We still have to cover a few things off and obviously the long board could be part of that," said Const. Kris Clark, Kelowna RCMP spokesperson.longboard

The long board is a Landyachtz Bamboo Pinner with a green and black face on the bottom drawn in an aboriginal style. The top is a natural colour with a blue and green sticker placed near the back.

Anyone with any information regarding the skateboard is asked to call the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at www.crimestoppers.net or text to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
