The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the man found lying in Mill Creek a week ago Sunday likely did not die as the result of foul play.

Kristoffe James Gunnarson, aged 55, was a resident of Kelowna. He died on July 14 and was found lying in Mill Creek near the 1500-block of Sutherland Avenue.

"The B.C. Coroners Service and Kelowna RCMP continue to investigate this death. There is no evidence of foul play in Mr. Gunnarson's death," says a press release issued late Tuesday afternoon by Barb McLintock, BC Coroners Service.

A cause of death has not been released.
