Advisory Committee on Health Care members named

The District of West Kelowna has announced the members named to its new Advisory Committee on Health Care.

Carl Archer, Ron Green, Elizabeth Harris, Carole Holmes and Irene Maier will be on the committee for a three-year term, ending December, 2016. Wayne Byron was named as an alternate.

The Advisory Committee on Health Care will act to promote open communication and active working partnerships between the District of West Kelowna, Interior Health and residents.

The development of a health care committee is one of the recommendations in the Assessment of Medical Services in West Kelowna: Final Report, prepared last year.

The committee will provide advice and recommendations to the district.
