This Vibrant glass of wine really is good for the heart

Because it's all looking for another great excuse to have that next glass of wine, the Vibrant Vine is giving back to its community by donating $1 from its Hugs & Kisses or Love wines, released early in 2014.

The Vibrant Vine is famous for its flashy bottle wraps and 3D tasting room, but it’s not all about the look. Last year its OOPS? wine was judged Best White Wine in the World at the 2013 World Wine Competiton Geneva, Switzerland.

The limited release wines Hugs and Kisses (Muscat Chardonnay) and Love (Pinot Grigio) are currently available for purchase in local liquor stores and $1 from each bottle will go toward the KGH Foundation’s Be a Lifesaver campaign.

Be a Lifesaver’s mission is to ensure the Interior Heart & Surgical Centre (IHSC) opens fully outfitted with the critical state-of-the-art equipment and support it needs to improve and save lives.  The IHSC will be the permanent home for the first cardiac surgery program in the Interior of B.C.

Every year 1,600 patients will receive cardiac care and 600 open-heart procedures will take place in the newest building on KGH’s campus.

So buy your Hugs, Kisses and Love today and that glass of wine will taste even sweeter knowing that you have helped to mend hearts and improve patient care right here at home.

The Kelowna General Hospital Foundation is an independent, volunteer-driven charitable organization committed to enhancing the delivery of health care to the patients of Kelowna General Hospital and its associated facilities.
